Identive Group, Inc. announced that it has received orders for four million near field communication (NFC) tags to support two large new customer projects. Three million NFC Type 2 tags will be used for a mobile retail application in France and one million NFC TOM (Tag on Metal) phone stickers will enable a banking and payment program in Africa; 800,000 of the NFC tags and all of the NFC phone stickers are scheduled to ship during the current quarter.
